I love this quote!

SALEM

Blue White Red

Blue, White, Red, Blue, White, Red.

Light’s flashed behind me, I put my foot down on the accelerator and shot off, I was determined to escape from the clutches of the police. There was a side road coming off the highway, I swerved to make the turn...good it had lots of twists, this would be the perfect road for me to make my getaway. Not caring about the speed limit I raced around the first corner sliding as I did so, the police were hot on my tail, I put my foot down harder; 140 km per hour, the second corner was sharper, half of my car slid off the road but I made it round, they were still following my every move, I had to take a risk, I had to escape, I put my foot flat on the accelerator, I shot forward again like a bullet but this time I couldn’t keep control of my car, I swerved off the road into a ditch, I could feel a warm liquid trickling slowly down my face, the car was about to flip underneath me, slowly the car tipped forward onto its nose, I could hear the crunch of metal as it descended the steep hill, it rolled over again, faster this time my forehead hit something, a searing pain made my sight go all blurry, I knew I was going to lose all consciousness soon, I reached for the key I had hidden under my seat and slipped it into my jacket pocket.

A fluorescent light was above my head, I tried to move my head but something was stopping me, I looked over at the other side of the room, the was a nurse standing at a basin washing her hands, I looked back at the ceiling, I thought to myself ‘I’m alive’ then suddenly it all came back to me, the dark side road, the twists and turns, the flashing lights of the police car, it was so horrible, I could feel a scream building up underneath my ribs...then the worst flashback came, I was flipping over and over in the car my stomach churning, that was it i couldn't hold it in any longer; I let out an ear piercing scream, it filled the room, I heard the nurse running over to my bedside with wide eyes, that was the last thing I saw.

A story I wrote a while back...

This was inspired by The Katherine Mansfield Birthplace which I visited early this year. It's not that good but I hope you like it.

A soft red velvet drape hangs across our awning, muddy boots and coats lie strewn across the porch, I follow my sisters in silently, Mummy and Daddy were having tea in the dining room as we sneak past I see Mummy carefully perched on the edge of her chair. Our youngest servant, Emily, she stood in the corner watching; eyes like a hawk as Mummy and Daddy ate.

We continue to scurry past sneaky giggles escaped us as we scampered joyfully up the stairs my oldest sister Darcy was in the lead followed by Tilly and then there was me Poppy. We raced to the top of the stairs, to our left was Mummy and Daddy’s room where I slept with them in a crib, I felt like such a baby with the others who had big beds and their own room.

AND I'M BACK!

Long time no see aye?? Well. I'M BACK. This time for good.

I shall be posting some stuffs today I suppose.

(I'm really cray cray now)

Love y'all x

Behind The Willows COPYRIGHT 2013

The sun slowly crept through the barred window, crawling onto the solitary bed. A little girl lay there, sleeping, she seemed almost peaceful, like her mind had not been disturbed in any way. Her eyes slowly fluttered open in the the warm morning light, she looked towards the locked metal door, it wasn’t open yet, phew. Not time. She slowly pulled her her legs over the side of the bed, stood up and slowly ambled towards the small dirty sink in the corner, she turned the tap, icey water flowed from its midst, she cupped her hands under the flow and splashed her face, slowly she looked up into the cracked mirror, a face appeared behind her, eyes crusted over, blood dripping from a wound in its head. A knife slowly rose from a scarred hand, it looked years old, rusted with the blood of previous kills. A swift movement from the hand sent the knife stabbing through the girls spine, and into her heart. A scream clawed it’s way out of her mouth, blood slowly trickled down her chin, her legs gave out from under her, she collapsed. She was now no more than a crumpled body.

-1 month later-

A little girl ran through the woods, dodging roots and trees, she ran straight towards the clearing. A small farmhouse stood in the centre, lined with blossom trees. The curtains flapped in the cool morning breeze, she ran towards them, her muddy hand reached down into a ripped pocket. Pulling out a old box of matches then she took one out, she lit it and stepped closer towards the flapping curtains, her arm reached towards the corner, the match lit it up, slowly the flames engulfed the curtains, and then beyond. She fell to her knees eyes wide in awe. The fire danced in her eyes, playing back what was in front of her. The house slowly became more engulfed in the growing flames, until the walls started to crumble, the second floor collapsed on top of the ground floor. Creating a cloud of dust and ash.

The large cloud of ash created some unwanted attention. The neighbors from 1km away drove quickly down to the house, they found the little girl sitting watching as the house burned to the ground. They looked towards her and then at the house, the man got on the phone to 911, 10 minutes later a police car came driving up through the woods, followed in quick succession by a fire truck but it arrived to late, the building was already a smoldering lump of burnt timber and ashes. The police officers jumped out of their squadron car and ran towards the girl, concerned for her safety, they picked her up under the arms and cuffed her hands, she struggled wildly against their grip. Kicking up dust from the ground, they dragged her towards their car and pushed her into the backseat. They slammed the door shut on her. The fire men started to put out the smoldering flames as the policemen drove away with the screaming and kicking girl in the backseat.

They arrived at the local Mental Asylum within 10 minutes, the tenders came running out the front door with a gurney in tow, they lined it up with the two policemen who were still struggling with the girl, they pushed her onto the gurney and tied down her arms and legs. She finally stopped trying to escape as she knew it was no use now. They pulled her behind them up a ramp and through the front doors into a grand entrance way. There was an elevator on the left. A big red rug in the middle and a desk on the right. All framed by stain glass windows and a giant staircase. They wheeled her into the elevator and pushed 4, they started to climb quickly; within a matter of seconds they had reached where they wanted to go.

The two men wheeled her out the door into a narrow cold corridor, a nurse walked up and leaned over the small terrified girl and assured her it was going to be OK, she took the gurney and wheeled it into an examination room where a young doctor was waiting. They unstrapped her after locking all the doors and windows. The young man asked what her name was, she replied shakily “Ivory Wilson” he noted it down on the pad which was sitting on the table in the corner; He then proceeded to weigh her, measure her height, take her temperature, blood pressure all the things that would happen at a normal doctors appointment, but then came the strange part, he began to strap her back down onto the gurney and he wheeled her back down the hall and around a corner she hadn’t seen before at the end of a short side corridor was a small room, smaller than the room she had just been examined in. There was a operating table in the middle of the room, suddenly Ivory started to sweat she hated hospitals. Her mother had died in one 4 years ago after a tragic car accident. They lifted her from the gurney onto the cold table, they gave her a small cloth and said to bite down on it; they proceeded to administer something that looked like a stethoscope onto her temples. It had cloth around the ends to make it stay in place. The young doctor turned around opened a draw in a dark cabinet and pulled out a strange machine.

He place the end of the cords attached to her temples into two sockets on the front of the machine and switched it on, there was a small knob on the right side that had what looked like voltages around it. The nurse assured her that this wouldn’t hurt a bit. But she was wrong, the man turned the little knob round a little bit and a sharp pain pulsed the her skull, he turned it further she clenched her fists in agony, her brain felt like it was going to explode. The pain started crawling down her spine and into her arms as the doctor turned it up a notch, it shooted down through her nerves she started to shake ‘When is this going to end she thought?’ the pain became worse as it continued to pulse down her body, it reached the top of her legs, she clenched the muscles tight in order to try and stop the pain, unfortunately it just made it worse, it slowly crawled down her legs and into her feet. By now Ivory was in so much pain she couldn’t hold in the ear piercing scream any longer. It exploded from her lungs like a bomb, it quickly filled the room causing the two people inside it to block their ears from the terrible noise, the doctor quickly turned off the machine and Ivory relaxed. Glad that it was over, the two leaned over her and picked her up and plonked her down onto the gurney. They wheeled her back up the side corridor and past the examination room. There were some double doors at the end of the corridor and the young man held up a barcode and the doors slipped slowly open, revealing the white glossy walls of the interior. They continued to wheel her past a large open space where several girls were sitting watching TV and looking outside. There were some more doors now, but this time they had chalkboards next to them, each room had a name on the chalkboard. They reached the furthest room, the nurse rubbed off a previous name “Chloe” and replaced it in a messy scrawl that said Ivory. They began to once again unstrap her from her gurney and pushed her into the small room. It had a solitary bed, a small sink in the corner with a cracked mirror above. The young man advised her to get some rest, Ivory walked towards the bed and lay down. Pulling the thin blanket over her bare legs. She instantly fell asleep.

The next morning Ivory woke from the subtle morning sunlight creeping through the window, she went to pull off the thin blanket and her hand found nothing, she crawled off the bed and onto the floor she couldn’t see it anywhere until she looked under the bed and pulled out her blanket...
She then noticed that there was some casual clothes placed at the foot of her bed. She slipped them on and went out the open door, the other girls were already in the common room, watching morning television and eating cereal. One girl was rocking back and forwards holding a worn teddy bear on the couch. Another was drawing the scenery of the dull grounds. And the final girl was sitting coldly at the dining table, playing with her cereal. I went and sat down next to her, she moved further towards the edge of the table. Taking her bowl with her, she acted as though I had some sort of contagious disease. I went and grabbed my bowl filled it with cereal, poured a little milk on top, went and sat down in a small arm chair facing the TV, there was a little kids show on.

Sophia

Part One~1956~May 19th 1956, a little girl was walking around the township of Thunder bay with her mother, it was a sunny afternoon. At around 3:36pm a black car idled into the town centre. Stopping at a red light. when it turned green, the car sped off down the road at a life threatening speed. Sophia and her mother started to cross the road, the black car sped towards them at an alarming speed, it was to late the black car couldn't stop and Sophia and her mother were both killed, Brent finished the story, his little sister was shaking uncontrollably "what happened to Sophia?" Some say she still walks these streets on warm afternoons looking for revenge...~2008~The next morning Brent's little sister Ava slowly crept down the stairs making sure nobody could hear her, she slowly opened the front door and walked out. While she was on her way to the library she thought she could hear moaning, but it was probably just the trees rustling in the wind. She walked up the front steps of the library very quickly keen to get inside and start researching. She found that the library's one and only computer was taken so she went to the front desk and asked if there were any books on 'Sophia'. The librarian said she would look and find out for her so after 5 minutes of waiting she finally got the answer she had been waiting for, that there were many books that mentioned a girl called Sophia and there even was a article in a old newspaper! So Ava set to work scanning through the books trying to find anything that could help her find more information. Suddenly she came upon a chapter called "The Mysterious Sophia" she scanned the first page to see if it was the right Sophia, and  it was! She read the chapter and took some notes. Then she reached for the article, there was a small picture of a young girl with the tag line underneath it of "Curious Death of Sophia Archibald" she read the article and found that the information in it was very useful AND it matched up to the story from the book. 1 hour after she had got there she suddenly remembered nobody knew where she was so she quickly packed up her things and rushed home thanking the librarian for her help as she went. When she arrived home her mother was pacing the length of the front room and glancing out of the window, when I walked in. When she saw me her eyes shone with anger, "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN AVA?!!" I quickly replied researching a story that Brent told me last night, my mother replied " Oh Ava, those stories that Brent tells you are not true! They are made up rumours from school, he just likes to scare you!" But Mom! This one IS real! In the library there was an article on it and there were many books that stated the disappearance of Sophia, "What did you say? Did you say the name Sophia?" I instantly drew back thinking that I was about to be ridiculed for what I said. "Ava, sit down I need to tell you something". Minutes passed as my mother told me the story of Sophia. Half an Hour later I drew back again In shock, I screamed HOW COULD YOU NOT TELL ME THIS?! my mother replies in a soft tone "I didn't think you knew about the story" WELL YOU WERE WRONG THERE!. I ran up to my room furious with her I kept thinking how could she not tell me her own sister was killed in a crash...~1956~ 1 week after the death of Sophia and her mother, the family held a funeral for them, Sophia's sister Desali had been so shocked at the death of her beloved mother and sister that she could not attend the service, but instead when she was ready watched the video of it. It was a lovely service full of Flowers and tears, it was filmed and broadcast on live Television for the public to see. The other girls at Desali's school paid their respects by wearing blue, Sophia's favorite colour to school one day. All of Sophia's friends were devastated by the loss of the beautiful young girl. ~2008~ Ava's mother Desali was making dinner that night when she remembered she had kept the video tape of the funeral, she called Ava into the room and said "I do have the video tape of the funeral if you would like to see it" "really? yes please" so I go and wash up, find the video tape in a box in the cupboard under the stairs and put in the player for Ava. The video was 2 hours long, I sat down and watched it with her, filling in the details as it played. After it Had finished we were both in tears, I had forgotten how sad and beautiful that funeral was. You told me that Gran had died from child birth! "yes, i'm sorry I should of told you the truth, but it was so hard, you were only a little girl" So what happened to Aunt Sophia and Gran's bodies? "Oh, yes they were buried not far from here actually! We should go and visit them sometime tomorrow, but now it's time for bed.The next day the pair went and visited the two graves, they payed their respect's by placing Rose's on top of each grave. The head stones had a loving message engraved on them, "In loving memory of Sophia and Amy, who died unnesserelly in a accident". We wept together, hoping they could see us, since it was such a long time ago someone had come and placed flowers. After we had got home, I started to research more and more, I wanted to find out more, I wanted to know more about my dead aunt. ~1956~Later that day after the service, they family gathered in the grave yard, preparing to farewell they pair, the two bodies rolled up in the herse, the men of the family ran up to help carry the coffins to the freshly dug holes, they were slowly lowered into place, the women were crying their eyes out, missing the two already. This was a sad goodbye as they were not supposed to leave this world until their time had come, and that resulted in their spirits staying in the world, watching over everybody who loved them. Their mother had passed on to the afterlife as her time had already come so Sophia stayed.~2008~ After researching some more, Ava had concluded that the reason why Sophia had stayed in the world was because she was not ready to leave, she had to complete a few tasks before she could pass on in peace. Ava asked her mother if she could go down to the library that after=noon to do some more reaserch on the subject, of couse vwanting to know more herself Desali had obliged to let Ava go. So that afternoon when Ava was walking down she thought she heard someone whispering in her ear *Don't goo-o-o-o-o* she turned around to see nothing but the street behind her, she continued to walk down the road to the library when this time she was sure she heard a girl say *Don't goo-o-o-o* and someone touch her shoulder, she kept thinking to herself that Is just my imagination playing up, after all I have been researching creepy topics, but her gut feeling was that Sophia was haunting her, trying to tell her something. But she could not convince her brain that it was Sophia, so she decided to continue on her way, and she was not disturbed again by any kind of "Spirit".When she finally reached the library she went straight to the desk on the far side of the room, wanting to stay as far away as she could from the public. She bought out her laptop and set up all her papers, then she went to find some more books on Ghost's or Spirits. She found some but they did not help at all it was just saying the different types of Ghost's and what the come back to earth for. So she resorted to using the Internet as her book. Ava continued to search up all sorts of things, including, How to communicate with a Ghost. All she found from that search was a little kids game of Ghost hunting. She went back and searched the words "Sophia Archibald 1948-1956" it came up with a list of website but only one caught her eye, a website called "The Mystery Of Sophia" she clicked the link and went onto it, instantly seeing that it would help her, it had a description of her and a picture that matched the ones she had seen in the Video tape.  There was a tab saying Family tree,   Ava clicked it and it came up with descendants of Sophia, it included her mother Desali Archibald and her mother's other younger sister Isabelle and their mother and Ava's gran who also died Amy Archibald. So this site definitely was what she had been looking for. She suddenly looked at the time, the library will be closing soon! so again she quickly packed up her things, texted her Mom that she was coming home now, then walked quickly out of the door so she did not cause any disruption. Part Two~1956~Months passed after the death of Sophia and Amy, people eventually carried on with their lives, as if nothing had happened, but in their hearts they think of the tradgic event everyday and they miss the two lovely young girls dearly.~2008~Ava walked back down the street, thinking about all her discoverys, she could not wait to tell her mom what she had found. When she got home she walked up stairs to her room and set her laptop back in its placed she turned around and a white figure stood there her head bleeding and on a unnatural angle, she floated closer, whispering *you did not listen, I am Sophia* Ava took a step back and screamed, her mom came rushing up and Sophia quickly dissapered. What happend Ava?! I stood there shocked at what I had just whitnessed, I thought so ghosts are real. Then I came back to reality with my mom staring at me saying "ava?!" I looked at her she looked at my eyes and said "Oh My GOD!" I nodded that was all I could do then I sat down in the same spot where Sophia had been, it was cold yet strangly wet. I thought that it could be her blood that had the wet feeling. I slowly got up and hugged my mom, some how I got two word's out; She's Real. After dinner that night, I sat down on the sofa to watch the video tape again to see if that face, that sinister smile actually belonged to Sophia, I watched the tape again and again staying up basiclly the whole night, trying to find a clear picture of Sophia. My mom came down at around 6:00 am and told me to turn the TV of and go to bed.
